Evening and morning
In the evening cleansing has two jobs: to take off make-up and sun protection, and to wash the skin. With heavier make-up, start with micellar water and follow with a foam or gel. In the morning one gentler wash is enough, followed by toner, serum and cream.
Use lukewarm water, not hot, and pat the face dry without rubbing. The whole sequence is in the morning routine and the evening routine.
Toner and exfoliation
Toner or mist goes on after washing, with the palms or a cotton pad. Exfoliants with AHAs, BHAs or azelaic acid are used less often and in the evening, and always with sun protection the next morning. Which acid for which skin: in exfoliation and salicylic acid (BHA).

Should I cleanse my face in the morning too?
Yes, but more gently: in the morning a wash with a foam or gel is enough, and for dry skin just water and toner. The main cleanse is in the evening.
Do I need a toner?
It is not essential, but it helps: it removes what the cleanser leaves behind and prepares the skin for the serum. For dry or sensitive skin, choose an alcohol-free toner.
How often should I use an exfoliant?
It depends on the product and the skin: follow the pack, start infrequently and in the evening. If the skin turns red or feels tight, use it less often.
