Form and concentration
Pure ascorbic acid is the most studied form, and the least stable. Some Collagena Professional products use a stabilised vitamin C (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid), more resistant to light and air. The concentration is in the product's name: 15% Vitamin C Intensive Serum, C-Radiance Serum 20% Vitamin C, C-Restore Mask 10% Vitamin C.

How to use vitamin C
In the morning, after cleansing and before the cream, and sun protection last: the two complement each other. With exfoliating acids and retinol, it is better to alternate. Close the pack tightly and keep it away from light and heat.

When does a vitamin C serum go on?
Usually in the morning, under the cream and sun protection. It can go on in the evening too, if you are not using retinol or acids that evening.
Is it normal for a vitamin C serum to darken?
Vitamin C oxidises in air and light, and then it darkens. Close the pack tightly, keep it cool and use it within its period after opening.
Is vitamin C suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes, in a lower concentration or a stabilised form, introduced gradually. If the skin stings or reddens, use it every other day.
